For her solo exhibition at M HKA, titled MASTERBLASTER (18 Jan - 23 Aug 2020), de Senna presents a series of new works alongside a key selection of existing sculptures. Those of us who already visited her explosively titled exhibition might have caught (mind the pun) her very contagious spirit, which de Senna cleverly packs in bold coloured, multi-layered exuberance. It’s exactly those layers we’d like to unravel for you in an interview with the ever so charming artist herself. We ask her where she gets her inspiration from, what art is to her and how she relates to pop culture. The artist herself tops it off with a bunch of memorable stories and associations.
