The Baroque Arrives
Exhibition: At Künstlerhaus S11 on Schmiedengasse, the art preview of the guest artist from California at Altes Spital, Tramaine de Senna, occurred. Obviously influenced by the baroque architecture of Solothurn, Tramaine de Senna worked on a series of "Caulk Frosting Paintings." With resulting ornateness, intricate works which are simultaneously sculpture and paintings have been developed from silicon. They reflect the decorative effect of the baroque aesthetics. It becomes visible that the modest materials, such as gypsum or even silicon, when treated preciously, transform from their mundanity. The exhibition at Künstlerhaus S11 is this very day, Saturday the 30th, and tomorrow, Sunday the 31st of October, in each case open from 14 to 17 o'clock. The concluding artist's talk with Tramaine de Senna takes place tomorrow afternoon starting at 16 o'clock.
